Predecessor and Transition<\/h3><p data-path-to-node=\"11\">Prior to the establishment of Faridia College, some philanthropists had established <b>Islamia Faridia College<\/b> in <b>Sarai Bismillah<\/b> and started first-year classes. This college was subsequently closed due to certain reasons. These students were then transferred to Faridia College, and some members from the Mandi area were inducted into the Anjuman Faridia.<\/p><h3>4. The Grand Building (The Samadhi Structure)<\/h3><p data-path-to-node=\"13\">The magnificent building that housed Faridia College was originally a <b>Hindu place of worship (Samadhi)<\/b>. Its architectural features were stunning:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f375d7c e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"f375d7c\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b193b86 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"b193b86\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8f9a452 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8f9a452\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul data-path-to-node=\"14\"><li><p data-path-to-node=\"14,0,0\"><b>Main Entrance:<\/b> The iron gate leading to the Principal&#8217;s residence was replaced by a large wooden door, a portico (Deorhi), and two adjacent rooms.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"14,1,0\"><b>The Three-Storey Structure:<\/b> Located near the Peepal tree, there was a huge wooden gate leading to a three-storey building with large windows and beautiful balconies, reminiscent of the <b>Jharokha Darshan<\/b> style.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"14,2,0\"><b>Natural Landmarks:<\/b> An old, solitary date palm tree (Khajoor ka darakht) stood to the west of the Peepal tree, which is still visible today.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"14,3,0\"><b>Interiors:<\/b> Upon entering, there was a long portico with a roof level with the second floor. Both sides of the portico featured beautiful colonnades and staircases leading to the upper floor, which housed four large classrooms.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"14,4,0\"><b>Principal&#8217;s Office:<\/b> Facing the portico was another three-storey building situated on a large platform (Chabutra). The Principal&#8217;s Office had about ten wooden doors, coloured glass ventilators, and decorative verandas on both sides. A minaret was added to convert it into a mosque. Later, the <b>Ali Trust<\/b> built a beautiful new mosque.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"16,6,0\"><b>The Pond (Talaab):<\/b> Shabbir Ahmad Bukhari (Director Colleges, Multan Division) mentioned that the famous play <b>&#8220;Shakuntala&#8221;<\/b> by <b>Kalidas<\/b> was written while sitting by the bank of this pond.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cf89d13 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"cf89d13\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Change of Leadership and Growth (1970s onwards)<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1f64469 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"1f64469\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-49ffa3c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"49ffa3c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li><p data-path-to-node=\"18,0,0\"><b>Mr. Saeed Ahmad Khan:<\/b> Due to administrative issues with Mr. Abdul Hameed Khan (who was simultaneously principal of three colleges), <b>Mr. Saeed Ahmad Khan<\/b>, with thirty years of teaching and organizational experience, was appointed as the new Principal.
